Can I deposit metal into my wallet that I did not purchase at SoundMoney?

Yes. SoundMoney offers a Metal Deposit Program that lets you add eligible gold and silver you acquired elsewhere to your Wallet.

Metal Deposit Program

Free Vault Storage + Insurance, Plus Instant Liquidity

Deposit eligible .999 fine gold and .999 fine silver you obtained from another dealer, inheritance, etc. After we receive and verify your metal, we store it in our vault at no charge (storage + insurance) and credit your SoundMoney Wallet, giving you instant liquidity through our buy-back.

What we accept

  • Gold: .999 fine (or higher)
  • Silver: .999 fine (or higher)

Not eligible: jewelry, sterling (.925), silverware, plated items, mixed/unknown purity, and many coins. If you send items that are ineligible, you will be contacted by our processing team

Important: how your deposit is stored

To standardize custody and enable liquidity:

  • Most deposits are processed into .999 bar format and stored in your Wallet as a bar asset.
  • Silver/Gold Eagles are supported, but they are stored commingled. If you ever request shipment, you should not expect the exact same coins (or the same year) back.

Once your deposit is received, verified, accepted, and credited, the transaction is final and all proceeds are transferred to he held on your behalf at VaultMAX.

Fee / service allocation

After verification, your Wallet is credited for verified ounces minus 15%.

This 15% covers assay, processing/conversion into bar format, vault handling, and ongoing custody services.
