# Can I consolidate multiple types of metal into one shipment?

Generally, no. Within the SoundMoney ecosystem, each asset class is treated as a **distinct and separate transaction**. This is because each metal type is backed by its own specific physical inventory and must be audited and processed independently to ensure total accuracy and security.

**Key Information for Shipments:**
* **Individual Processing:** If you would like to have both gold and silver shipped to your home, you will need to initiate two separate shipment requests through your dashboard.
* **Standard Fees Apply:** Each individual shipment is subject to the standard flat shipping fee ($15) plus the 0.5% insurance fee based on the value of that specific metal.
* **Logistical Exceptions:** On occasion, SoundMoney may, at its own discretion, combine multiple shipments destined for the same location into a single high-security package if it is determined to be the safest or most efficient method for delivery.
* **Why We Default to Separate:** Processing metals separately allows us to maintain a "bulletproof" chain of custody for every ounce. This ensures that your gold and silver are never mixed during the picking, packing, or insurance verification process.
